MONTREAL – A man has been assaulted with a knife in the night, Saturday late in the evening, in the area of Ville-Marie, Montreal.
Shortly before 23 p.m., an altercation between the victim and the abuser soon turned into armed aggression with a blunt object.
The officers located the victim, a man 27 years of age, who has suffered injuries to the upper body, said Véronique Comtois of the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM).
Transported to a hospital, the victim is out of danger, confirmed the agent Comtois.
The suspect, a 43 year old male, was arrested and transferred to a detention centre where he will be met later by investigators from the SPVM.
Investigators and forensic identification officers have been called on site to analyze the scene protected and in an attempt to better understand the circumstances related to this attack.
