He was able to meet Emmanuel Macron's Overseas Advisor, at the artist's request. But this was possible thanks to the wife of the head of state who arranged this visit, according to Caribbean radio stationRCI.

Kalash, followed by 1.5 million people on Instagram, was therefore able to speak “in urgence” with François de Kerever, the Overseas Advisor to the Élysée. This meeting was not without intentions and was intended to encourage the Minister of Overseas Territories, François-Noël Buffet, and the Minister of the Economy, Antoine Armand, to come to Martinique.

“Bringing Martinique towards appeasement and advancement in negotiations", such is the singer's objective. The island's very high cost of living has brought a climate of tension in recent weeks.

As a reminder, Martinique has just extended its curfew following the urban violence committed in recent days. It is in effect until October 21.
