Invaincu en championnat d’Aveyron de volley, Millau Larduc vise désormais les quarts de finale de la Coupe d’Aveyron avec un match qui se disputera le jeudi 2 mai à 20 h 30 au gymnase Paul-Tort à Millau.

Thursday, April 25, the last match of pool B2 of the Aveyron volleyball championship took place at home. Millau Larduc was opposed in Réquista. Before starting the match, Larduc had only one objective, to remain undefeated while maintaining his place at the top of the championship. Réquista was able to prove to the Millavois, from the first set, that they were there to fight with the same combativeness.

A few pep talks and a strategic reorganization of the game were the keys to the victory of the second set for the Millavois. Launched by the euphoria of the victory of the previous set, they continued the third with a constructed and thoughtful game, which left the Réquista players no chance.

In the last set, Larduc got scared because of the fatigue accumulated throughout the match. They suffered a great comeback from the Réquistanais who managed to equalize on the last point of the winning set. Only, Larduc didn’t give up!

The team fought for all the balls and was defensive by recovering each of the attacks made by the players of the opposing team. They then scored two points in a row giving them the victory of the match, the championship and allowing them the feat of being undefeated in pool B2 of the Aveyron Volleyball Championship.

Concerning the Aveyron Cup, Larduc as an outsider of his group, finished first with 3 consecutive victories (against team 1 of Rodez, Réquistanais and Onet le château ). Next objective for Millau Larduc: win the quarter-finals of the Aveyron Cup, which will be played on Thursday May 2 at 8:30 p.m. at the Paul-Tort gymnasium in Millau, against neighbors Saint-Beauzély . This team, made up of good level players, is second in its group and plays in Pool A of the Aveyron championship.
