Walkout at Auchan Sète: “We do not have to pay for the bad strategic choices of our leaders”

Les salariés du magasin Auchan Sète se mobilisent alors que les négociations salariales sont bloquées au niveau national.
A social movement is underway within the Auchan group on a national scale, at the call of the inter-union CFDT-FO-CGT-CFTC. Sète employees are not left out. This Friday, March 29, they mobilized a second time to demand salary increases, while negotiations took place within the framework of the NAO (mandatory annual negotiations). From 11 a.m. to noon and then from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., around thirty employees of the hypermarket walked off the job to show their anger at the blocking of discussions with general management. Already on March 22, a similar movement had affected some 150 stores in France and that of Sète with around twenty staff who had temporarily left their posts (out of 250 employees). All categories of staff are affected.
"1.3 %, that doesn't even cover inflation"
Their demand: the granting of a 5% increase in salaries. "Management does not want to respond and only accepts an increase of 1.3 %", deplores Sabine Baralon elected CFDT to the CSE. Insufficient for the inter-union "while we have already lost almost all our individual bonuses and 1.3 % does not even cover inflation& quot;, adds Sabine Baralon. Especially since according to the CFDT delegate, the context is not the most favorable for the Auchan brand. "There is a lot of misunderstanding among employees, they don't understand how the group can buy the Casino stores when it should be concerned with saving its own stores" ;, analysis Sabine Baralon. "We do not have to pay for the bad strategic choices of our leaders", concludes the inter-union leaflet. According to the latter Sabine Baralon, this historic " movement at Auchan" is gaining momentum. & quot; There are already stores where trucks block delivery trucks. I subscribe to read more
