War in the Middle East: we know the date of the national tribute to the French victims of Hamas

À l'occasion de la conférence de presse du mardi 16 janvier, le président Emmanuel Macron a donné rendez-vous aux Invalides pour un hommage national aux victimes françaises de l'attaque du mouvement islamiste palestinien en Israël, le 7 octobre dernier. 

Emmanuel Macron announced Tuesday, January 16, during his press conference at the Elysée the organization of a tribute to the victims of the attack by the Palestinian Islamist movement Hamas in Israel .

It will take place on next February 7, at the monument for the victims of terrorism located on the  rsquo;esplanade des Invalides in Paris, "alongside their loved ones, their families and all those who want to join us there", said the President of the Republic .

An expected tribute

The Head of State recalled that France had "lost 41 of its children" in these attacks and that it had  "three more hostages" in the Gaza Strip. 

"We are fighting step by step with the Israeli authorities, with Qatar, which has a decisive role in this matter, with several other colleagues to free them,” said Emmanuel Macron . 

The question of one had become sensitive for the Jewish community of France. The presenter Arthur, in particular, spoke on France Inter on November 23, deploring the absence of a national tribute, that  rsquo;had however promised the Élysée on October 25, without giving precise dates.
