Water polo: Montpellier puts a big boost of air conditioning in the Sète basin

This Saturday, October 5, for the opening of the season, the MWP dominated its subject in front of an unimaginative Sète team (7-11).
Both teams had displayed their ambitions before this Hérault derby, only one managed to assume. Faced with a Sète team in decline throughout the match, the Montpellier team were never worried.
A match… at the beginning
There was indeed a sort of observation round, with each team having a somewhat sluggish start. At the start of the match, the attackers made the goalkeepers shine or did not find the target. Mustur, as a good captain, finally opened the scoring for the MWP. Paul Garcia answered him but the former Sète player Chandieu allowed the visitors to end the first quarter with a score of 1-2.
There was still a game. Especially since Do Carmo started the second quarter by finding the back of the net (2-2). But it was, against all expectations, the last goal for the Sète team in this first half. Mustur started to score goals, followed by Spilliaert, and the score went to 2-5. For their part, the Sète team produced nothing offensively and Andric took advantage of this to fill his match sheet. A one-way period, which allowed Montpellier to arrive at the break with the score at 2-6.
A reaction quickly stifled
The blow to the head hurt and the Sète team still managed to react. A goal from Debiais, from a tight angle, reduced the gap to 6-8. But the hope of a comeback was short-lived and Chandieu's goal, just before the end of the quarter, sounded the end of the break (6-9).
It became definitive when Mustur and Spilliaert put the nail in the coffin (6-11), before a final goal from Paul Garcia for the anecdote (7-11). The derby was one-sided, Sète took the wrong path.
