Without a boss since the departure of Eli Bissonnette in the wake of the wave of public denunciations of sexual misconduct, the record label Dare To Care entrust temporarily its meant for Jan-Fryderyk Pleszczynski, former president of 4U2C, a subsidiary of Cirque du Soleil.
Mr. Pleszvzynski, a lawyer by training who chairs the Montreal arts Council and serves on the board of directors of the Théâtre du Nouveau Monde, will assume the interim chairmanship and will have the mission to ensure “the maintenance of the regular activities of the company and ensure its employee.e.s and artists a work environment that is healthy and inclusive,” said Dare To Care in a communiqué issued Wednesday at the end of the day.
Dare To Care has been immersed in turmoil, two weeks ago, when a victim has anonymous reporting of inappropriate sexual behavior by Bernard Adamus, one of the artists represented by the label.
