Des squatteurs occupent les parties communes de cet immeuble depuis plusieurs mois. Excédés, certains résidents cherchent à déménager alors qu'ils viennent d'acheter un appartement dans cet immeuble pour certains.
The residents of this residence in downtown Rennes can't take it anymore. For several months, homeless people have been making life difficult. Squatters have in fact taken over the common areas of their building for several months, reports Actu Rennes.
The squatters have taken over level -1 of the building where they sleep on the floor on sleeping bags. Hygiene conditions there are said to be alarming. In addition, with the noise during the night, urine and feces in the elevators, the situation would be unbearable for residents.
Some even think about leaving the place: " We bought the apartment only a month ago, but we already want to leave this building because of the squatters" confides an owner.
"These homeless people are looking for a place to get warm and we can hear it but we can't stand the trash, the dirt, the damage and their aggressiveness", deplores a couple living in the building.
"I already had to climb over them to get my car"
In addition, the squatters reportedly consume alcohol and drugs and are aggressive, creating a feeling of insecurity among residents.
"We are afraid, because they are often intoxicated and their reactions are uncontrollable. I've already had to step over them to get my car or get out of the elevator. This isn't normal!", complains a resident. "It's urgent but nothing changes . Is it too much to ask to want to live in a clean and secure building ?", asks another.
The residents despair. The situation is not changing despite five police interventions in this building over the last six months.
