James Harden clearly doesn’t want to be a part of the Houston Rockets roster anymore and has publicly stated that he no longer believes in the team.
“We’re just not good enough. We don’t have chemistry and we lack talent. It’s obvious, ”said the 31-year-old athlete Tuesday night, after a 117-100 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers.
“I love this city. I literally did everything I could. This situation is crazy. It’s something I don’t believe will fix, ”Harden continued, speaking of his relationship with the club.
Against the Lakers, no Rockets player has amassed more than 18 points. The star player was limited to 16 points. He also had seven rebounds and six assists.
Recall that before the start of this season, Harden expressed his desire to join a title contender in the Eastern Conference after Rockets head coach Mike D’Antoni resigned and the team had traded their friend Russell Westbrook to the Washington Wizards.
The 30-year-old has spent the past eight years with the Rockets. In the most recent three seasons, he has led the NBA in points per game average.
According to the ESPN network, the Houston formation continues to seek a partner for an exchange involving Harden, but a transaction is not imminent.
