The price of the gas bill for millions of French people will increase on average by 11.7% in July compared to the month of June.

The price of the gas bill of millions of French people will increase on average by 11.7% in July compared to the month of June, mainly due to the effect of increase in distribution costs, the energy regulatory commission (CRE) announced this Monday, June 10, 2024.

The CRE underlines in a press release that the gas reference price published "for information only" for July will however remain 3.5% lower than in January.
