Wearing a mask mandatory: “there is no certainty”

Port du masque obligatoire: «Il n’y a aucune certitude»

The president of the Association of microbiologists of Quebec, Christian Lebeau-Jacob, explains that the mask is imposed in enclosed public places in Quebec as a precaution, and not by certainty.

This is an important distinction, difficult to communicate, and that is at the heart of the polarized debates on the subject, he indicated in an interview with QUB radio.

“Discouraged” by the level of discussion on social networks, it is no longer going to consult for a few days.

Mr. Lebeau-Jacob was keen to temper it by saying that there was no certainty, “on one side or the other”.

“When people speak of certainties, there is a problem. There is no certainty in the face of the COVID, it was only hints and indications”, he explained to Vincent Dessureault.
