What future for Cyril Hanouna and TPMP: we will know everything on Monday, promises the host, who is making his return to C8

What future for "Touche pas à mon poste" (TPMP) and Cyril Hanouna ? The PAF provocateur promised to provide answers on Monday for the return of his controversial show on C8, six months before the channel disappears from TNT.

Touche pas à mon poste is back this Monday, September 2 on C8, but Cyril Hanouna, whose excesses have cost the channel 7.6 million euros in fines over eight years, has not yet officially responded to Arcom's decision, made at the end of July, not to renew C8's TNT frequency after February 28, 2025.

Cyril Hanouna, who had mentioned publishing a video on social networks before changing his mind, gave viewers an appointment on Monday at 6:10 p.m. A back-to-school spot was, however, posted on social networks to “tease” the show returns, and he's making a big snub to Arcom.

Cyril Hanouna will be the first guest on TPMP

“I'm going to have a lot to say, we'll talk about Arcom in particular, it's going to be a bit of a special”, he announced as soon as his radio show resumed.

The one who regularly denounces a "harshness" against his shows will be "the first guest" of TPMP, where he will be“interviewed live” by CNews journalist Laurence Ferrari, another media figure of conservative billionaire Vincent Bolloré.

Program finally broadcast live

Launched in 2005 under the name Direct 8, will C8 file an appeal? ? Will it survive elsewhere than on TNT, for example on the internet? ?

Will Cyril Hanouna and TPMP, which brings together nearly two million viewers on average, migrate to another channel in the Canal+ group? ?

The return of TPMP, a show accused of populism and even of spreading false information, in any case suggests new controversies.

Especially since the program will be broadcast live, and not delayed as C8 had promised in July to Arcom, as part of its application to renew its frequency.

Omniprésent

The start of the school year was also marked by the barbs that the teams of TPMP and Quotidien, the competing talk show of Yann Barthès on TMC, threw at each other via their respective communication campaigns. Quotidien, for example, launched its return by displaying sentences spoken during Cyril Hanouna's show.

Cyril Hanouna also criticized on Europe 1, in the show he has hosted since the legislative campaign "On marche sur la tête", the newspapers "Libération, L'Humanité, Le Monde" which according to him "huge harm to France", repeatedly calling "Libération" a "rag".

Omnipresent on the small screen, he will also present "La tribu de Baba" during the week before TPMP, as well as the talk show "Face à Hanouna" from 7:10 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays, not live.

Even if C8 is going to lose its frequency, it will have to control its antenna by February to avoid new sanctions from Arcom.
