What to do with your children in Biterrois during the February holidays ?

Expositions, spectacles, musées… Voici une sélection d'activités à partager en famille du 12 au 25 février.

1 – Festival Mangamania

Du February 9 to 26, the Mangamania festival, which highlights Asian culture, offers numerous activities in several media libraries in Bézierrs and the villages of ;rsquo;Biterroise agglomeration. Documentaries, novels, mangas from media libraries, conferences, creative workshops, quizzes and visits to exhibitions are on the program.

Some dates to remember at the Béziers Media Library (Mam):  Saturday February 18, a sumo tournament is organized,  on registration, from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.; Sunday February 19, an aikido demonstration is offered at 3 p.m.; Tuesday February 21 , three one-hour escape game sessions are open from 1:30 p.m. (registration required); Wednesday February 22, Cultura offers a Mario Kart tournament at 2 p.m. Free.

2 – Enserune Museum:

L'Oppidum and archaeological museum of Ensérune, located next to Nissan-Lez-Ensérune,  allows you to discover a major Gallic city in the South located between Narbonne and Béziers. For studious and learning holidays, it offers many activities during the February holidays.

The current exhibition is "The Domitian Way from the Pyrenees to the Rhône", the oldest Roman road infrastructure in the Mediterranean South. As part of this temporary exhibition, a workshop & quot;caligae" is scheduled for Wednesday February 21 at 2:30 p.m. A good way to discover what shoes looked like in Antiquity, then to make your own caligae. From 7 years old. During the workshop, children must be accompanied by at least one adult. The previous week, a first "Drink of the Gods" will take place on Wednesday February 14from 2:30 p.m. The opportunity to discover the history of wine through the objects present in the collections of the Ensérune archaeological museum. It will be possible to draw inspiration from the patterns and designs made on antique ceramics to create your pictorial signature on a fired ceramic. The next day, Thursday February 15, the 'Gallic Gods"  workshop will take place. also at 2:30 p.m. A workshop to discover Gallic mythology and pantheon, and create one of these deities in embossed metal. Finally, on Saturday February 17: discovery of the art of Greek painting and its evolution over time with "In red and black", then  painting on terracotta of a god or ;#39;a scene from Greek mythology. The price of these events is 12 € for adults  and 6 € for those under 26.

3 – MRAC Sérignan

In parallel with its Cosa and Lost Occasions exhibitions, the Regional Museum of Contemporary Art ;nbsp;de Sérignan offers activities during this holiday period. Wednesday February 14 and 21, at 10 a.m., family workshop to discover contemporary art through a fun journey of workshops in the temporary exhibition rooms. Included in the price entry (5 €). By reservation at 04 67 17 88 95. From 2 to 4 years old.

From February 15 to 16, at 10 a.m.-12 p.m. for 5-7 year olds and 3 p.m.-5 p.m. for 8-12 year olds. Based on observation drawings of natural elements and/or its exhibition< em>Exoskeletlight, Naomi Maury invites children to discover his practice and different techniques through the creation of a sculpture in clay to which will be added a weaving made using different tools. Sunday February 18, from 3 p.m., actor Philippe Leroy offers an eventful tour of Anne-Marie Schneider's exhibition "The circle is the world" in order to question the works through gestures and movement through a sensory and emotional exploration of our postures and attitudes. From February 22 to 23, 10am -12 p.m. for 5-7 year olds and 3 p.m.-5 p.m. for 8-12 year olds: "Encres sauvage", workshop of the artist Émilie Fayet. 4 – Theme parks 

The leisure park "The forest of acrobats"offers several types of activities: treetop courses (suitable for all ages and levels), classic paintball or for children with gelatin balls, outdoor lasergame, archery, archery tag (shooting with foam arrows by team), orienteering, treasure hunts and escape games.

The Happy city Béziers park offers a multitude of activities to entertain your children from 1 to 12 years old in an area of ​​2000 m². For older children: a giant structure with a height of 6 meters, a rope bridge, a small zip line, slides, a track for electric cars and motorcycles, a football field, a giant LEGOS area and plenty other things… For the little ones: a colorful play area away from adults for greater safety with a bicycle path, a ball pool, various courses, small trampoline and small inflatable castle.
