Who is Nelson Chaudon, this young thirty-year-old from the RN, called to become mayor of Beaucaire ?

The current mayor Julien Sanchez has announced that he wants to hand over to him, if he is elected MEP.

His parents sent him one of the very first congratulatory messages this Wednesday, after Julien Sanchez announced that he would give him the keys from the town hall of Beaucaire, if the Europeans are favorable to it. "They are very moved that I am taking on this kind of responsibility at 31 years old. I will always have their support."

Nelson Chaudon is from Beaucair. Like his parents, grandparents and other generations beyond."We don'come from big families. My grandfather was a wine grower, my parents were employees. I grew up in this city. I have always lived here. Beaucaire, I get it under my skin." The name of the family therefore speaks to the locals. But the first name, Nelson, is not yet very well known to his fellow citizens.

Stick with the ideas of the National Front in his youth, Nelson Chaudon really fell into the political pot when the young departmental boss of the RN Julien Sanchez came to power in this town of 15,000 inhabitants at  #39;from a quadrangular in 2014. "It was he who convinced me to go into politics and who told me' 39;set foot in the stirrup."

Menard: "He will be the voice of his master"

He participated in the 2020 campaign, where Julien Sanchez was re-elected hands down (59%), in the first round. Nelson Chaudon becomes municipal councilor, in charge of sports and sports associations. 

Professionally, the young man worked for a time in the medical/paramedical field. Before becoming parliamentary attaché to RN deputy Yoann Gillet. "He is courageous, hardworking and driven by the same sense of the general interest as Julien Sanchez", says the latter of his collaborater. Others consider him discreet, in the municipal council, as in local trips, in the shadow of Julien Sanchez or Yoann Gillet. "He's an apparachik, even if he is from Beaucairois. He will be the voice of his master", whistles Charles Menard, left-wing opponent in the municipal council. 

Reserved, Nelson Chaudon will keep his first verbal declaration to the Beaucairois. Those of his hometown.
