Why are the quays of Sète under construction ?
|Work on the platforms lasts until Monday March 11 FREE MIDI – GUILLAUME CROS
Since Tuesday March 5, a construction team has been working on the port quays in anticipation of a stopover in Sète
Parking prohibited, removal of poles and pedestrianization of streets. The quays of the Republic, Commandant Samary and Algiers overlooking the port of Sète are dotted with signage strips. Small signs indicate that "parking is prohibited except for authorized vehicle(s)" until' Monday March 18, at the risk of being impounded.
The platforms reserved for pedestrians
This arrangement is explained by the spring event: Stopover in Sète, which takes place in the port area from March 26 to April 1. The City has decided to make the platforms pedestrianized to facilitate public access. The posts and signs are being removed. Traffic is not particularly affected. End of work scheduled for Monday March 11.
