Will Béziers obtain the “Ville à Vélo du Tour de France” label ?

The City of Béziers has applied to obtain the “Tour de France Cycling City” label.

As part of its program to promote soft mobility "The future by bike", the Tour de France launched in 2021 the "Ville à bike of the Tour de France". It encourages all initiatives taken by the municipalities which have already hosted the large loop to promote everyday cycling.

For this fourth edition, the Tour de France and the Tour de France Femmes received applications from 24 cities, six of which are located outside France. The City of Béziers is also one of the candidates, which will see the runners pass on July 16.

This year, sixteen cities from the Tour de France route have submitted their candidacy and two are on the Tour de France Femmes map. Enough to consider the milestone of 150 labeled cities in ten different countries! The results will be known on May 15, as part of "May by bike".
