Will Samuel Bolduc play in the NHL soon?

Defender Samuel Bolduc was recalled for the first time by the New York Islanders on Monday, becoming the second Quebecer promoted by the New York organization in less than a week, after forward William Dufour.

The 22-year-old hockey player could thus make his big league debut in the evening when the Islanders face the Maple Leafs in Toronto.

This recall is the consequence of Cal Clutterbuck's upper body injury. The latter fell in action on Saturday against the Carolina Hurricanes. The 35-year-old forward will miss the rest of the regular season.

Former color holder of the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada and the Sherbrooke Phoenix in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, Bolduc has had 26 points, including eight goals, in 40 games this season with the Bridgeport Islanders of the American Hockey League. He was a second-round pick, the organization's 57th overall, in the 2019 draft.
