Les vœux de la ville et de la communauté de communes du Lodévois-Larzac se tenaient ce vendredi soir à la salle Ramadier de Lodève.
"C’est tous ensemble que nous faisons Lodève". Gaëlle Lévêque, mayor of Lodève, placed her wishes this Friday evening at the Ramadier hall, under the sign of unity. Thanking the members of her majority, as well as the municipal staff, the first magistrate expressed her conception of the role of mayor "he is not alone, he embodies a collective, for my part with great joy."
"The view of the city is changing"
The elected official did not avoid the difficulties encountered by her municipality in 2023, those of increases in energy prices which prevented certain projects from being carried out, but rsquo;have in no way prevented a certain dynamism. "The view of the city is changing",she assures, mentioning some figures. 35,000 cinema admissions in 2023, 85,000 books loaned to the media library thanks to the extension of opening hours, the increase from 120 to 190 students in three years at the music school… In 2023, television cameras have landed 14 times in Lodève.
The mayors of the 28 municipalities present
And of course plans for 2024! The inauguration of the bell tower of Saint-Fulcran is scheduled for April, the rehabilitation of degraded housing in the city center continues, new businesses are setting up.
But the unity with the Lodevo sauce is also that which links the city to the community of communes. Jean-Luc Requi, president of Lodévois Larzac, opened the ceremony, detailing community actions, sometimes outside of skills as in the case of health, but in the spirit of local services and quality of life . Logically, President Requi invited the mayors of the 28 municipalities to join him on stage. Here again, unity was essential.
