With 50 members expected, Dynamo continues its momentum

Almost all of the registered members, around twenty, met at New Bon Coin for the second general assembly of the very young association La Dynamo. It is Maud Fardel, who shares the presidency with Olivier Benoît, who has fallen to the heavy task, and at the same time the privilege, of presenting the situation of the past year and looking ahead to 2024.

"We are continuing the projects initiated in 2023, that is to say the local products market and the composters, with the hope of finally being able to materialize, thanks in particular to a validated partnership with the University of Nîmes site Hoche, one of our partners. We also hope to be able to carry out an intergenerational project on the memory of the neighborhood with the students of La Valsainte college and the residents. This should take place at the end of April-beginning of May."

After listing all the actions carried out throughout this first full year of operation, thanks solely to patronage and the crowdfunding campaign, the young woman deplored the fact that no subsidies were granted to them.

Grant requests refused

" We had initially planned a larger budget than last year, with a half-time salary from May, to help sustain our actions. However, our requests for subsidies have once again been refused by the City and the Departmental Council, which leaves us in a certain precariousness, she specifies.

But more is needed to discourage the dynamic team of the association which is enriched by newcomers to the board of directors. "We continue to believe very strongly in what we do, helped by our network of partners who support us and our loyal members, 21 of whom have already renewed their membership for 2024. fifty is expected for the year", concludes Maud Fardel, on a positive and encouraging note, by inviting all participants to the traditional Apéro de la Dynamo, of which this was the twelfth edition.
