To say that Bio-UV Group is a company to be reckoned with is an understatement. Created in 2000 and established in Lunel thirteen years later, it is today the French and European leader in ultraviolet and ozone water treatment devices.

An activity for which Benoît Gillmann, former president and CEO of the company – who handed over last March to Laurent-Emmanuel Migeon – has devoted « more than a third of his life,” as he emphasized, with legitimate pride, this Wednesday, January 24, during the inauguration of the extension of the premises of the headquarters of the & rsquo;company in the La Petite Camargue area of Lunel.

This is where the first building of 5,200 m2 was located in 2013, « thanks to our loyal funders and our local partners,” Laurent-Emmanuel Migeon wanted to emphasize in his inaugural introductory speech.

« Flagship of our local economy »

The “young” CEO of Bio-UV recalled the company's CV in detail before expanding on, precisely, this new extension of 1,200 m2 which he described as « promise for more collaborative exchanges, more efficient innovation, more virtuous working conditions that are more concerned with the environment ».

At the microphone, the mayor of Lunel and president of the Agglo began his speech by zooming in on « these business leaders who have courage and this extension which testifies to the prosperity of Bio-UV, the flagship of our local economy which makes the territory shine throughout the world.

2.2 M€ cost and job prospects

At a cost of 2.2 M€, this achievement made it possible, on the first floor, to create new engineering design offices in charge of the definition and adapting products for customers, and, on the ground floor, consequently extending the factory part.

Hiring and the prospect of new jobs too, as highlighted by the managers of the Lunel-based company listed on the stock exchange since 2018, in a field which is not close to dry up.
Unlike the precious liquid it processes. This water so rare and so precious, « yesterday abundant and today in danger, as regional councilor Sylvie Thomas affirmed, before concluding by hoping for the best. to this 24-year-old girl who I hope will continue to grow to better protect us.
