Work accident on the construction site of the SNCF footbridge at Sète station: a worker seriously affected

L'ouvrier faisait le plein de ce son engin de chantier lorsque l'accident s'est produit ce lundi matin 19 février. 

Around 11:50 a.m., this Monday, February 19, firefighters and police went to the site of the footbridge under construction at the SNCF station after a worker was Severly injured. The man, aged around fifty, was quickly evacuated to the Sète hospital center by emergency services. According to the first elements noted on site, the accident occurred when this employee of a company subcontracting the SNCF was refueling his work machine.

Handbrake released

In view of our information, the vehicle would have backed towards the employee, while the hand brake of the machine was released. The worker was unable to avoid it and was rolled over according to what emerges from the first findings by the police forces . He was seriously injured in the legs.

Rail traffic was not disrupted by the intervention of emergency services and law enforcement inside the station.& ;nbsp;
