Work on the port of Sète: trees are appearing in the vast Zifmar storage area

Pins, chênes ou genévriers, les espèces plantées sur la Zifmar du port de Sète-Frontignan ont été choisies pour leur résistance.

It's not yet the Pierres Blanches forest, but the plant has appeared on the Zifmar at the port of Sète-Frontignan. The huge car park located at the eastern entrance to the city will soon accommodate a new access road, as well as several green areas to redefine the space and improve its visual integration for motorists traveling on the RD612.

For the past few days, landscape teams have taken over the area to plant Aleppo pines, umbrella pines and Australian pines, junipers, oaks and other perennial plants. Species selected for their hardiness, their resistance to salt and their low water requirement. The overall project, financed by the Region, amounts to 1M€.
