XV of France: accused of sexual assault by a young woman in Argentina, Oscar Jégou assures that it was a consensual relationship

Oscar Jégou, player of the French XV and targeted by a sexual assault case in Argentina with his teammate Hugo Auradou, denies a violent and non-consensual sexual relationship.

The rugby players of the XV of France Oscar Jégou and Hugo Auradou were arrested by the police this Monday July 8 due to a complaint of sexual assault of a young woman. The facts date back to the night of last Saturday to Sunday, a few hours after the Blues' victory against Argentina (28-13) in Mendonza.

RMC Sport contacted the entourage of Jégou, the third line of La Rochelle, neo-international. The player assured his loved ones that it was a consensual sexual relationship, denying the young woman's version. The latter went to file a complaint the morning after the incident, having her injuries noted by a forensic doctor.

Consensual sexual relationship according to Jégou

Also according to RMC Sport, Jégou and Auradou assure that the complainant followed the two men to their hotel of her own free will. The Rochelais and the Palois would have had a sexual relationship with her. Jégou's entourage fears that the two players were the targets of a scam, as there can be in the country.
