A French tennis player was the target of a joke in bad taste during the US Open qualifiers.

"A joke" not really funny. French tennis player and YouTuber Jules Marie was the victim of a hoax concerning his participation in the US Open, the American grand slam, on Tuesday August 20. The tennis player went public emails from his inbox on his Instagram.

The hoax began with a long email he received announcing his return to the qualifying table for the American tournament, following the withdrawals of Henrique Rocha Da Silva Moura and Michael Zheng.

“You can make a kitty”

This well-written message was then followed by a second one presenting the schedule for the new qualifying table. Jules Marie finally received a last email revealing the bad joke from an internet user.

“Jules, sorry, but you won't be playing tonight. If you want, you can still make a kitty to call the breakers (the nickname of Jules Marie's subscribers) for donations to console you”, could be read on the screenshot.
