The couple had been arrested on July 14, while they were near one of the robberies committed in the Mion area. The man, a 21-year-old Moroccan, was sentenced to three years in prison, plus an additional four months for escaping from the police station for a few moments while in police custody. His partner, a woman from Toulouse of the same age, was given a two-year suspended sentence.

Iliès did not listen to the sentence handed down to him by the judicial court on Monday late afternoon. This young 21-year-old Moroccan, in an irregular situation, had difficulty coping with the three years of imprisonment to which he was sentenced, found responsible for three “home-jackings” committed on July 6 and 13 in the Mion estate sector. He was expelled from the courtroom despite attempts to call for calm by the presiding judge and his partner, Christina, also 21, who lives in Toulouse and is considered a co-author of these thefts. She was given a two-year suspended sentence.

In the apartments with a knife

The couple had been arrested on the night of 13 to 14 July after being caught in a couple's vehicle on Rue des Coquelicots. A few moments earlier, Iliès had entered their home and threatened the occupants with a knife. He left in possession of various valuables and the car key. The investigation entrusted to the judicial police made it possible to make a connection with two other robberies using a similar modus operandi committed a week earlier in the same area. In the couple's vehicle, telephones and tablets were found from these burglaries committed without violence but under the threat of a weapon…

According to the police, the immediate resale of the proceeds of the thefts allowed the couple to obtain 2,000 euros in cash and to secure their accommodation for a few days. “I didn't have a knife on me, I just wanted to sleep. I don't remember what I took”Iliès defends himself in the dock. The victims' statements, however, all coincide. In the dock, one of the targeted retired couples testifies to the anxiety caused by the nighttime face-to-face, the tension, the threats. And, since then, the difficulties in getting back to sleep and serenity.

Several thousand euros in moral and material damages

In its judgment, the court collected the civil party constitutions of the six victims of these thefts. The couple was sentenced to compensate them for their material and moral damage in view of the trauma caused by these intrusions. The precise amounts, the total of which will be greater than 10,000 euros, will be fixed later.

The civil party constitutions of the police officers who participated in the &agrav; the arrest movement after Ili’s escape from the police station were also investigated. retained.

He escapes from the police station while in police custody

Alongside his indictment for the three burglaries, Iliès is also being prosecuted for his escape… of the police station. During his already eventful custody, marked by his attempt to steal a police officer's wallet, the young man took advantage of his transfer to the cells to leave his escort… While the alarm sounded in the compound, the fugitive was recovered, not without difficulty, in a garden adjoining the police establishment. In addition to the escape, he is also accused of acts of rebellion. According to Iliès’s lawyer, we must however see in this escape attempt, the consequences of a first arrest "muscular" using an electric pulse gun. "This complicated his impulsive behavior. I met a man who takes responsibility, who has never had any framework. He was in a state of panic" pleads Me Emilie Guillaume.

His client, as well as his partner, express regret for the victims but too late for the representative of the prosecution, according to whom, the alleged facts are " revolting". "We are talking about home-jacking, extremely unpleasant" estimated the prosecutor in his requisitions, followed by the court. In addition to his three years in prison, Iliès was sentenced to an additional four months for his escape from the police station.
