ZEvent 2024, the video game charity marathon, enters its final stretch with a prize pool of €6 million

Since Friday evening, around thirty streamers gathered around Montpellier native Adrien Nougaret, aka Zerator, have been multiplying events on Twitch to call for donations in favor of five associations fighting against precariousness. Objective: to exceed the sum of 10 M€ in the night from Sunday to Monday.

The ZEvent 2024 prize pool continues to grow. With the help of table tennis stars, the Lebrun brothers who are playing at home, the streamers gathered for this great video game charity marathon, have passed the 5 million euro donation mark at 19:15. And it's far from over. At 10pm, the time we are writing these lines, the figure constantly updated on the event website showed the 6 million euro mark!

Insufficient to reach, at the end of the “final rush”, the record sum of some 10 million euro”? Not so sure. In 2022, the year of the last record – there was no ZEvent in 2023 –, it was on Sunday evening at 10:15 p.m. that this 6 million euro threshold was reached. An acceleration which then made it possible to go from 7 million euros to 11:15 p.m.; 8 million euros to 11:35 p.m.; 9 million euros at midnight … And 10 million euros at 1:20 a.m. ~60/p>

The five associations that fight against precariousness and that will share this sum (Secours Populaire, Bureaux du Cœur, Solidarité Paysans, Chapitre 2 and Cop 1) can therefore count on the ingenuity of the streamers and the generosity of their community to collect even more money in this last four-hour sprint and thus finance their next actions to come.
