An unforgettable day for Mendoi schoolchildren.

It was an unforgettable moment that nearly 160 Mendoi schoolchildren experienced this Monday, May 13, 2024. They indeed witnessed the passage of the Olympic flame from the Paris 2024 Olympic Games in Montpellier. An event which was able to come to fruition thanks to the mayors of Mende and Montpellier in particular.

The Lozériens reached the regional capital by bus, and while waiting for the flame to arrive from Millau via Sète, they visited the Fabre museum.

Atmosphere!

Then head to the Philippidès stadium where sports activities awaited them, in the company of a thousand other children, with a friendly driver. Suffice it to say that the magic happened when the flame arrived for a tour of the stadium!

The Mendois schoolchildren even received a visit from Marion Buisson, the pole vaulter from Lozère, who took her first steps on the track at the Éveil Mendois and who participated in the Beijing Olympic Games in 2008 .
