18 college students take on a challenge and eat a red pepper: they experience discomfort, sweating and heartburn

The Avesnes-le-Comte firefighters quickly intervened at the Val-du-Gy college where its students attend school. The young people would have taken up a challenge.

Red pepper brought back by a student

All of these students, twelve boys and six girls, were taken care of and examined by the firefighters as well as by a nurse from the Saint-Pol-sur-Ternoise emergency center. According to the first elements reported by La Voix du Nord, a schoolboy would have brought back some red pepper in his bag.

After several examinations, no middle school student was transported to the hospital. The young people were returned to their families and were invited to contact their attending physician.
