Pool shelters, kitchen, home automation, decoration, construction… every year, the Habitat show allows you to stock up on good deals.

The Nîmes exhibition center is preparing to host, from September 6 to 9, the fifth edition of the Habitat show, an event that is now firmly established in the local events calendar. With 150 exhibitors and thousands of visitors expected, this show is a real Ali Baba's cave for all those who want to beautify, renovate or rethink their home.

A large part left to local players

Furnishings, decoration, garden design, swimming pools, new energies… the Habitat show covers all areas. Whether you dream of giving your interior a facelift, starting to build a veranda or falling for a new kitchen, “it is impossible”to leave without having found an idea or a solution adapted to your project”, confides Pascal Settipani, organizer of the show.

This year again, the emphasis is on local players, a choice assumed by the organizer: “Nearly 80% of exhibitors are regulars, mostly professionals from the region. This allows us to showcase local expertise while offering visitors a real representation of local trade”. Added to this is a dose of novelty, with 20% new exhibitors, enough to renew the offer and surprise visitors.

An unfavorable context ? Not sure…

The Habitat show is not a first for Nîmes. For the past five years, the event has attracted an average of between 9,000 and 10,000 visitors over the four days, a success that does not seem to be running out of steam. Although the turnout can sometimes depend on the vagaries of the weather, Pascal Settipani remains confident and expects a good turnout. Admission is also free for those who have taken the time to download their invitation online.

Even in a sometimes uncertain political or economic context, housing projects remain a priority for many households. “If you have a house and a specific need like changing a mattress, whatever the political context it doesn't change much I think”, says ironically the one who has been at the helm of the event since its creation. So, ready to stock up on good deals?

Brico Dépôt, newcomer to the Show

Among the exhibitors present, Brico Dépôt is making its debut at the Nîmois show. Known for its DIY products at competitive prices, the Aigues-Vives brand is focusing on its kitchens this year. “We will present two models from the fifteen that we have in our catalog. The idea is to showcase our offer and show that we offer quality kitchens, available in stock and at attractive prices”, explains the stand manager. More than a commercial objective, Brico Dépôt aims above all to strengthen its reputation with local visitors “and gauge the impact of a show like this one.”
