This Tuesday, February 13, a Delta airline plane was forced to turn around, during a flight linking Amsterdam to Detroit, due to maggots which were beginning to appear. falling on the head of a female passenger, reports SkyNews.

"The lady right behind told the flight attendants that the maggots were falling on her head. I turned around and they were squirming in the seat… Absolutely disgusting", one of the passengers of the flight testified on Reddit on Tuesday, reports Sky news.

The maggots started falling on the passenger's head 1 hour after the start of the flight. She then directly informed the on-board crew who discovered a rotten fish in one of the luggage in the compartment. He had to escape security control at Amsterdam airport.

"Really nice to spend 2 hours in a [flight] and discover that there are rotten fish and larvae making the trip with us", deplored a second passenger on absolutely strange" on the plane. She explained that she had not been taken seriously. 

"We apologize to the customers of Flight 133 AMS-DTW as their trip was interrupted due to improperly packed carry-on baggage [ …] The plane returned to the gate and passengers were placed on the next available flight, the airline said at Sky News. She added that the plane was “taken out of service for cleaning& quot;.
