Romann Laroudie, a 17-year-old Alesian, retained his title of French junior full-contact champion during the finals which took place this weekend near Paris. Several other members of his club also reached podiums.
"It confirmed its level and what we hoped for!" Bernard Laroudie, creator with Elian Nouvel of the Full-Contact Cévenol and Boxing Club Alésien clubs, has reason to rejoice this Monday March 4 for the success of one of his students, and incidentally his nephew.
The day before, at the end of the French championships held in Lisses (Essonne), Romann Laroudie, 17, retained his title of French junior champion in the category of -71 kg which he had already won in 2023. A success which allows him to remain in the French team in the discipline, to subsequently aim for the European championships.
Other athletes from the Alesian club returned decorated from this weekend's finals: Lola Bultez (junior category – 55 kg) and Lauralie Tamisier (senior -56 kg) both won a silver medal. Romain Hérez and Yevin Antoine Chaboun, both in the heavyweight category, won bronze.
