Le maire d'Alès a officiellement reçu la célèbre distinction ce vendredi 15 mars des mains de Gérard Larcher, président du Sénat.
She is now hooked. In front of a huge audience of elected officials, including former ministers Jacques Blanc and Aurélien Rousseau, dignitaries, friends and especially in front of his family and loved ones, the mayor of Alès Max Roustan officially received the Legion of Honor from the hands of Gérard Larcher, President of the Senate, this Friday March 15.
The greatest distinction of our current republic to thank him for "his 50 years of political life and his 29 years of mandate as mayor d’Alès."
Come to greet a "Authentic Gardois", "you incarnate for me the reference of the Mayor, the reference of the citizen committed, the President of the Senate addressed him in his speech. You symbolize proximity, which is, I tell the Senate, totally essential" ;. Gérard Larcher has several times honored "humanism", le "dedication" and the "comforting presence" from the mayor of Alès. En also taking a turn written, ten years ago already, by Midi Libre : < em>"The beekeeper that you are has made his honey from human contact."
A thought for his loved ones and for Alès
"I owe this medal to all of you. Without all of you, I would not have successfully completed the project of making Alès a prosperous and united city", he declared in front of the&# 39;s assembly, moved, with a thought for his family. Particularly for his wife, a "golden person for having put up with all my absences". And for his brother Jean, who died almost four years ago and "whose departure was a real heartbreak for me."
Yet, beyond emotion, Max Roustan does not seem to want to interpret the decoration as a conclusion. "I am proud of the progress made, but I am still aware of what remains to be done, he continued. Together, we have written a beautiful page in the history of Alès, and I am convinced that the next one will be just as great."
The next lines of this new page should begin with the celebration, next year, of three decades of tenure at the head of the Capital of the Cévennes.
