Slovenian Tadej Pogacar won the second stage of the Tour of Italy solo and took the leader's pink jersey on Sunday May 5 at the Oropa sanctuary (north-west).
Pogacar, big favorite of the 107th edition of the Tour of Italy whose finish will be judged on May 26 in Rome, experienced a little scare, falling in slow motion after a puncture, at the foot of the last difficulty of the day.

Pogacar aims for double
The Slovenian is aiming for a rare feat, the Tour of Italy-Tour de France double in the same year which has not been achieved since 1998 and the Italian Marco Pantani.
