The thermal baths construction site is nearing completion. A few weeks before the opening, an update with the president of the Arenadour group.

A few weeks before receiving the first visitors and spa guests, Maxime Vilgrain, the president of the Arenadour group, inspected the construction site which is nearing completion. "We are entering the finishing and cleaning phase. Everything must be ready. We open the acqualudic part on May 27 and the cures start on June 10."

Closed since August 2021, the thermal establishment has entered a new dimension thanks to the work. In total, almost 26 M€ were invested by the various financiers.

The four medical orientations preserved

If the thermal baths of Allègre-les-Fumades have retained their approval to treat the four historical medical orientations (rheumatology, respiratory tract, dermatology and infections of the mucous membranes of the mouth), new equipment is coming complete the offer with new treatment pathways. "These are programs that we have developed based on feedback from other resorts" , explains Maxime Vilgrain.

The group operates nine thermal establishments and hopes to reach the objective of 4,500 spa guests during the season. "We already have nearly 2000 reservations. We hope, ultimately, to double the number of spa guests."

The use of limited water resources

The water resource is taken into account: "We are limited to 7 m3 per hour. And we only use thermal water for medical care. For the well-being part, we have city water."

In addition to the swimming pool heated to 33° for the treatments provided by masseurs-physiotherapists, two other pools reserved for leisure use, one indoors, the other outdoors, were built. Still with the idea of ​​diversifying the offer, a spa, a sauna, a jacuzzi in its glass roof as well as a flotarium, a pool with salt-laden water, are offered.

To complete the offer, a hotel and a restaurant are available to spa guests or occasional visitors.
"The thermal baths offer around twenty professions, from lifeguards to doctors, beauticians and nurses. We have recruited around thirty employees, and there are still positions to fill."
