Incidents during the Gambardella Cup final
The Gambardella Cup final between Marseille and Nancy was interrupted for around ten minutes on Saturday at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy in Villeneuve-d'Ascq after a projectile was thrown by Parisian supporters towards the OM goalkeeper.
In the 68th minute of this match finally won 4 to 1 by the Olympians, what appears to be a flag stick was thrown towards Aboubaka Dosso by one of the Parisian supporters present behind the Marseille cages, and the referee decided to interrupt the game for around ten minutes.
Parisian and Lyon supporters were already present in the stands for this match, which will be followed by the Coupe de France final (9:00 p.m.) between Paris Saint-Germain and OL. Marseille, Lyon and Paris are three historically rival clubs in France.
The prefecture had also asked the supporters of each team to each use a different metro line, with a different metro stop, in order to get to the stadium and avoid minimize the risk of overflows.
Other prohibition: consumption on public roads and terraces of Lezennes, Lille and Villeneuve of Ascq of alcohol "in a glass or metal container" until Sunday 4 a.m.
The prefect of the Hauts-de-France region and the Nord department, Bertrand Gaume, called on Friday in a press release to "the collective and individual responsibility of supporters, as well as all those attending the match, so that everyone can enjoy this festive and friendly event in complete safety.
