Racist insults during France – Croatia: the European Federation condemns “all forms of racism” and confronts the Croatian Federation with its responsibilities

The European Handball Federation (EHF) reacted this Friday, January 19 after the statements after the France – Croatia Euro handball match, disrupted by racist insults and throwing objects according to French players .
The EHF does not, however, confirm the information but acknowledges having heard the accusations, in particular from the center of the French team Nicolas Tournat, of insults racists who caused a brief interruption of the match between France and Croatia on Thursday evening.

"The EHF condemns all forms of racism, discrimination and intolerance, she wrote in a press release this Friday . There is no place for such behavior in European handball."

Troublemakers removed from the stadium according to the EHF
The European body adds that the spectators in question were "identified and taken out of the stands by security". "Thursday's incident will be the subject of future discussions with the German Federation to take all necessary measures to prevent this from happening again." ;
Also presenting the Croatian Federation with a fait accompli: "In addition, this subject will be discussed with the Croatian delegation, emphasizing their responsibility for the behavior of its supporters during matches of the competition".
