Paris 2024 Olympic Games: “A significant injury to the hamstring”, Kévin Mayer’s entourage communicates about his injury and wants to believe it

Le Montpelliérain Kévin Mayer, qui s’était blessé lors du meeting de Paris, a communiqué ce lundi 8 juillet sur l’état de sa blessure, qui n’implique pas de déclarer forfait pour les Jeux Olympiques de Paris 2024 pour le moment.

"The MRI taken this morning by Kevin revealed a significant lesion in the left hamstring", indicated the' entourage of Montpellier resident Kévin Mayer. For the moment, the Frenchman is not withdrawing from the Olympic Games. "Everything will be done to be at the start of the Olympic decathlon on August 2nd", specifies the press release.

After his injury on the Paris track, Mayer had an MRI on Monday. 

No package at the moment

The injury of the Montpellier player had cast a chill over the Charléty stadium. After hitting a hedge, he fell, before writhing in pain. His powerful cries also foreshadowed the worst, even if he was relieved a few moments later.
