La 14e étape entre Pau et Saint-Lary Soulan (151,9 km), samedi 13 juillet, devrait être propice aux attaques entre leaders avec une arrivée au sommet au Pla d’Adet.

Saturday, after 70 kilometers of warming up from Pau, the peloton will tackle three consecutive climbs during the remaining 80 km: the venerable Tourmalet, Hourquette d  ;rsquo;Ancizan and the Pla d’Adet, for the 50th anniversary of the victory of Raymond Poulidor who now has his statue at the summit in Saint-Lary.

"A big explanation between the first of the general"

The end of the stage could have been even harder if, instead of turning left at the exit of the village of Soulan, the peloton took a right to climb to the Col du Portet where Pogacar guards excellent memories after winning there in 2021, the year of his last victory.
