the essential Several Tour de France teams, including Visma Lease a bike and that of Jonas Vingegaard, no longer wish to share their radio messages on television, as is the case in Formula 1 for example.

The Visma-Lease a bike teams of Jonas Vingegaard and Ineos of Carlos Rodriguez have stopped sharing radio exchanges between sports directors and riders on TV channels for two days.

These communications were introduced in 2023, based on the F1 model. The leaders of the two teams believe that they betray too much of the strategies put in place for their riders, according to Jasper Saeijs, marketing manager at Visma-Lease a Bike.

5,000 euros for the broadcast of these radio messages

Discussions must take place with ASO, the organizer of the Tour, after this 111th edition, to see how things can evolve for the future.

Several teams also complain that they are only allocated a sum of 5,000 euros each for broadcasting these radio messages.
