The French Shirine Boukli won her first Olympic medal – bronze –, the first for the French Olympic team during these Paris 2024 Olympic Games, Saturday July 27 in judo in the – 48 kg.

Shirine Boukli, bronze medalist in judo in – 48 kg (on France Télévisions): "It's the realization of many things. I came to get the most beautiful medal but it's going to be bronze for these Olympic Games.

I'm all the more happy because the flavor is special. At home, we needed a medal. The girl I took, she was a UFO today so I'm very proud of this beautiful medal. It's the first for me, the first for France so I hope to start the counter properly.

“We shouldn't have destabilized ourselves”

We're working on everything, mental preparation, etc. Today, we're going for a medal. I was the first to come for the title but there was a better one in front of me. So I had to not get destabilized and stay focused until the end. Because there was a medal to go for.”
