Nîmes Olympique: Oussama Abdeldjelil fifth recruit of the Crocos, a central defender on trial

L’attaquant de Cholet Oussama Abdeldjelil a signé ce lundi 29 juillet au matin son contrat chez les Crocos. Un jeune défenseur central, en provenance de Dunkerque, est également testé.

To replace Mbina, transferred to Maribor (Slovenia), Nîmes Olympique officially recruited Oussama Abdeldjelil on Monday July 29.

The 31-year-old player, who played for Cholet last season, has the experience sought by sporting director Sébastien Larcier: 82 National matches (20 goals), 32 Ligue 2 matches (5 goals), 18 Algerian D1 matches.

He signed a one-year contract with the option for an additional season in the event of promotion to Ligue 2.

The fifth recruit of Nîmes Olympique took part in the training session scheduled at La Bastide in the late afternoon on Monday. Despite his experience, he assures us: “I'm not arriving on familiar ground. I'm here to show what I'm worth and earn my place. The goal is to help the team as much as possible, to be decisive by scoring and providing assists."

Nkunka on trial

Nîmes Olympique is also testing central defender Philippe Nkunka (19 years old, 1.89m), who is arriving from Dunkirk where he played in the U19s. He should stay three or four days with the Crocodiles and will perhaps play a few minutes on Wednesday in Saint-Gilles where the fifth preparation match against Agde (N3) will take place.
