This Sunday, July 28, 2024, a gas station in L'Union, Haute-Garonne, caused the breakdowns of around ten vehicles after they used SP95-E10 gasoline. A pumping operation of the tank was carried out.

Broken down after filling up. On Monday, July 29, 2024, the Intermarché gas station in L'Union, Haute-Garonne, made SP95-E10 fuel unavailable. A repairman was called out to several interventions in this same parking lot.

Wastewater residue in the fuel tank

According to France Bleue Occitanie, “A tank pumping operation has been carried out and work will be carried out to remedy this problem”. The supermarket management stated that wastewater residue had seeped into the tank.

A motorist saw his car “cough” 3 kilometers after half a tank of gas, and others were unable to leave the parking lot of the gas station pumping.

Intermarché opens an insurance file

“It's a nightmare”, deplores one of the victims of this breakdown who was nevertheless able to return home thanks to a rental car covered by her insurance for 24 hours. "Renting a vehicle costs around 1,000 euros per month. I can't necessarily afford it, so I hope that Intermarché and their insurance company will be able to do something fairly quickly."

Our colleagues announce that Intermarché has opened an insurance file to support customers who are victims of these breakdowns.
