Cévennes wines can once again be tasted in Saint-Ambroix

Après Anduze en juillet, les vignerons de l’IGP Cévennes posent leurs stands dégustations ce dimanche 4 août à Saint-Ambroix, place de l’Esplanade.

The meeting has become almost a habit for Saint-Ambroix and the winegrowers of the Cévennes. This Sunday, August 4, fourteen professionals of the appellation will meet at the Place de l'Esplanade to offer tastings of their latest vintages to strollers and wine lovers. Food trucks, children's entertainment and musical entertainment at 7 p.m. complete the picture in order to attract a family audience.

A fruitful day under the trees

Thus, the fourteen tasting stands will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. on the square. In case of extreme heat, the IGP specifies that shade will be provided by the trees overlooking the event. In addition to the presentation and discovery aspect, this event, which has been in place for over ten years now, helps to round off a few cases for the winegrowers present. According to the federation, it attracts an average of 800 visitors over the day, for a sales figure of around 15,000 euros.

Last month, the IGP Cévennes organized a similar event in the Cordeliers park in Anduze for a weekend, July 20 and 21. Despite a last day marked by rain during this previous edition, the federation highlights a satisfactory assessment, achieved thanks to good attendance during the proposed evening event.

From 10:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. at Place de l'Esplanade in Saint-Ambroix. Tasting pass at 6 euros which includes a screen-printed glass and access to all stands. Bottles can be sold on site.
