Paris 2024 Olympics: Historic, the French team of the Lebrun and Gauzy brothers wins the bronze medal against Japan

Après une rencontre serrée, c’est finalement Félix Lebrun qui a donné le point décisif à l’équipe de France, dans un cinquième match face au Japon (3-2). Un succès qui permet aux Bleus de décrocher la médaille de bronze du "par équipes".

His brother Alexis had launched the team perfectly by winning the doubles, alongside Simon Gauzy (11-5, 11-7, 5-11, 11-6). In the same vein, Félix brought back a second point by overthrowing Harimoto (9th in the world) after saving three match points (3 sets to 2).

Alexis Lebrun gave in to Togami (8-11, 9-11, 11-9, 9-11), as did Simon Gauzy to Harimoto (8-11, 11-8, 8-11, 12-14) to see the Japanese equalize at 2-2.

In the decisive match, Félix Lebrun did not tremble and Shinuzoka (42nd in the world) was eliminated in four sets in a molten Arena!
