The Saint Roch festivities will liven up the streets of Montpellier all day long. The sbandieratori of San Lorenzo d'Alba (flag throwers) who arrived yesterday and the Italian delegations from the cities of Voghera and Alba will parade after a first procession on Thursday evening, which passed between the raindrops.

The Italian flag throwers will not be the only ones in the procession. The Barons of Caravètes, Captain Jean-François Sicard of the 132nd Dog Infantry Regiment with a delegation from Miramas with dogs from the Army, representatives of the Centrale Canine, the Fraternity Jacquaire de Septimania, the Bandurà for music, the Cettarame association from Sète, twelve representatives of the Queens of Hearts committee and members of the international Saint-Roch association from Montpellier among others are expected. ;

The Saint-Roch program this Friday, August 16

– 8:30 a.m.: Mass at the Saint-Roch sanctuary, celebrated by Canon Michel Plagniol.

– 9:30 a.m.: Departure of the grand parade-procession from the Maison des relations internationales located at the end of the Esplanade. – 9:30 a.m.: the relics of Saint Roch displayed in the Saint-Roch church all day.

– 10:00 a.m.: departure of the procession with the statue of Saint Roch from the Saint-Roch square.

– 10:30 a.m.: international mass at the Saint-Pierre cathedral, presided over by Monsignor Turini.

– 10:45 a.m.: Bandur animation at the Place de la Canourgue.

– 11am: Bandur animation at Place du Marché aux fleurs.

– 11am: 40am: Bandurà animation in front of the birthplace of Saint Roch, rue de la Loge.

– 12:15 p.m.: Bandurà animation at the Porte d'eau fountain in front of the Tourist Office.

– 12:20 p.m.: flag-throwers' show at Place de Compostelle.

– 12:40 p.m.: flag-throwers' show at the Porte d'eau fountain in front of the Tourist Office.

– 12:55 p.m.: end of the procession in front of the Esplanade kiosk.

– 3:00 p.m.: violin and organ concert at the Saint-Roch sanctuary.

– 4:00 p.m.: conference on Saint Roch by Canon Michel Plagniol at the Saint-Roch sanctuary.

– 5:00 p.m.: departure of the last grand procession-parade from the Maison des relations internationales located at the end of the Esplanade.

– 5:30 p.m.: flag-throwers show at Place Saint-Roch.

– 5:30 p.m.: procession of the relics and the statue of Saint Roch from the Saint-Roch church.

– 6:00 p.m.: blessings from the inhabitants and also from the dogs from the forecourt of the Saint-Roch sanctuary.

– 7:00 p.m.: flag-throwers show at the Porte d'eau fountain in front of the Tourist Office.

– 7:40 p.m.: end of the procession in front of the Esplanade kiosk.
