MHSC: Savanier too messy, Sagnan solid behind, Nzingoula promising at first… the notes of the match against Nantes

Téji Savanier ne s’est pas montré à son avantage. – GIACOMO ITALIANO

Beaten at home by Nantes, for the third day of Ligue 1, the MHSC is still looking for a first success this season. A look back at the ratings of the Pailladin players

Benjamin Lecomte (5/10)

Solid against Thomas who strikes on the right side of the area to start the match (9th). He can then do nothing about Nantes' opening goal (24th). He then makes a good intervention by coming out 35 meters from his goal in front of Abline, to clear into touch (39th). Vigilant on his line, he intervenes with the opposite hand on a curling shot from Moses Simon (45th + 4). Caught wrong-footed on Moses Simon's penalty (45th + 5). In the second half, in 45 bland minutes, the Pailladin goalkeeper had nothing to do and was pierced by Mostefa Mohamed's strike (85th).

Falaye Sacko (3/10)

Quickly switched to the left side of the defense after Issiaga Sylla went off injured (11th), Falaye Sacko missed almost everything he undertook at the end of the afternoon at La Mosson. Caught in the back in defense and not inspired enough to support his left winger in attack. He sometimes had trouble making defensive recoveries.

Becir Omeragic (4/10)

Caught in the air duel by Tino Kadewere on Matthis Abline's goal (24th), he once again lost his header duel against Abline, who created an opportunity in the box (26th). Good at restarting and comfortable with the ball at his feet, the Swiss showed shortcomings in his duels against the Nantes attackers.

Modibo Sagnan (5/10)

Despite a few dubious restarts, he showed himself to be solid in the duels. In particular with a very good intervention at the start of the second half to avoid a big Nantes opportunity. He tried to project himself at the end of the match, to bring the surplus. His left-footed shot was stopped by Lafont, at the end of the match (90th).

Enzo Tchato (3/10)

Combative from the moment he entered the game, the Cameroonian could have cost his team dearly with a mistake in the first half. Shifted to his right flank with too few opportunities, he was unable to send a dangerous cross to his attackers.

Rabby Nzingoula (6/10)

Coming on in place of Chotard (40th), for his first time in the Pailladin jersey. Rabby Nzingoula distinguished himself with a good defensive intervention cutting off a counterattack. With his slender physique, his combativeness pleases the Montpellier supporters. On another Nantes counterattack, the young midfielder came back to make a "intelligent foul" on Thomas (66th). Without being technically flawless, the former Strasbourg player symbolised this Saturday afternoon, "the Paillade spirit", fighting until the end.

Jordan Ferri (5/10)

Rough, ball at his feet but also in his commitment, with a few fouls to his credit on the opposing midfielders. By projecting himself, he brings the Montpellier goal following a 20-meter shot with difficulty pushed back by Lafont into the feet of Adams (30th). Passed into a sentinel role at the exit of Chotard, he did not manage to weigh in the final result to help his team pocket one or more points.

Téji Savanier (3/10)

20 balls lost at half-time, 35 at the end of the match, the captain and maestro pailladin shone less than usual. Lacking success in his passes (72% successful), Téji often had to go and get the balls lower in the first half, taking on a sentinel position on sequences. His set pieces brought danger but he also let free kicks slip, usually within these lines. A match to forget for MHSC's number 11.

Tanguy Coulibaly (4/10)

A good defensive return in the box from the 1st minute got Tanguy Coulibaly's match off to a flying start. Author of MHSC's first shot on target, pushed back by Alban Lafont (11th), he was on the right track. Moving on his left side, he was nevertheless unable to deliver a correct cross in the first half. Unfortunately, he deflected a Nantes corner with his forearm and caused a penalty (45th + 5). In the second half, his technical imprecision and a defensive retreat that was too intense for the back of his thigh, earned him to give up his place to Wahbi Khazri (63rd).

Mousa Tamari (3/10)

Unstoppable last year, the Jordanian is taking the hit this season, as he did at the end of last year. Author of the first shot of the match, crushed and off target (6th). Also had a tendency not to look forward enough. Hit in the solar plexus during a collision (52nd), the Jordanian obtained a good free kick in the process by provoking in the axis of the opposing goal (55th). Finally gave way to Khalil Fayad (63rd).

Akor Adams (4/10)

Two poor controls to start the match, the Nigerian then used a subtle deflection for Coulibaly for the first Pailladin opportunity of the match (11th). The striker opened his goal account this season. In ambush, he took advantage of Ferri's shot pushed back by Lafont to shake the net (30th). In the second period, like the entire Pailladin group, he failed to stand out.
