Des dizaines de cyclistes participant au tour de France du mouvement pour l'envionnement Alternatiba ont fait escale à Sète à la rencontre des initiatives citoyennes locales.
A Place du Pouffre in the yellow and green colours of the ANV-COP 21 network and the Alternatiba movement. On Sunday evening, the Vélorution (for citizens' movement in favour of non-polluting travel) stopped off in Sète as part of a huge tour through the cities of France to raise awareness among citizens about the consequences of climate change and encourage them to fight against global warming.
“The battle is neither lost nor won, it is being played out now!”, declared one of the representatives who arrived from Nantes in the afternoon with dozens of cyclists, notably from the association La Roue libre de Thau and Greenpeace. Other local associations were invited to speak out, such as ALT (Alerte LGV Thau), which denounces "threats" and "damage" to the environment of the Thau basin caused by the planned route of the new Montpellier-Perpignan line.
