“Today, I have nothing left”: ruined, Annie Philippe, the interpreter of Baby Love in French, risks eviction from her home

Annie Philippe, la chanteuse des années 60 est ruinée. Elle risque de se faire expulser de son appartement et a donc dû ouvrir une cagnotte Leetchi pour que son public puisse lui venir en aide.

Annie Philippe is calling on her audience to help her make ends meet. Indeed, she is summoned to a trial for eviction on December 10. She can no longer pay the rent on her apartment in Boulogne-Billancourt, near Paris, where she has lived since 1985 with a 55 m² terrace.

"To be able to stay in my home, I held on for years by saving everything I could and selling my last valuables. Today, I have nothing left. When the bailiffs came to my house to seize it, they found nothing to take“, she says.

“I was swindled”

Le Parisien revealed that "her landlord initiated legal proceedings against her before the litigation judge who ordered her in June 2023 to pay nearly 52,000 euros in unpaid rent and charges, as well as to pay current rent", in June 2023.

She explained to Closer the reasons for her financial problems: "I learned much later that I had sold a lot of records. I was made to believe that I wasn't selling any. I was scammed. I trusted. I was too childish“.
