'It was traumatic and embarrassing': British girl, 15, forced to strip to prove she was a girl

Caitlyn Disley, a 15-year-old British girl, was refused entry at the airport in Hurghada, a city in northeastern Egypt, by two security agents so that she could prove that she was not a boy.

The British organisation Human Dignity Trust, for its part, says that there are “consistent reports of discrimination and violence against LGBT people in Egypt".
