It was at the Espace Molière, in the historic centre of Agde, that the opening of Maria Slovakova was recently held, in the presence of the first deputy mayor Ève Escande, also delegate for culture.

Two years of work for this exhibition

The artist presented a collection of paintings that took her almost two years to prepare. Maria Slovakova has exhibited in the largest cities in Europe, many in the Occitanie region as well (she lives in Aude, near Carcassonne, Editor's note).
From her earliest childhood, at the age of 5, she told her mother that she wanted to be an artist. “Full of imagination, with teeming ideas in her head”, she enjoys depicting herself.“My art is accessible to everyone and with this exhibition, we talk about love, emotions and feelings, as stated in the title of the exhibition “In the nature of love”.”

In her opening speech, Ève Escande highlighted the artist's work: “Maria Slovakova, it's a unique imagination. Colorful characters that one could believe escaped from a comic strip with their black outline, almost childish animals. All this draws us into her world." When the artist discovered the Espace Molière, she was captivated by the place, the beauty of the room and decided to devote two years to creating a special exhibition for this place!

The exhibition “In the nature of love“ can be discovered until Saturday, November 2, from Tuesday to Saturday, from 10 a.m. to noon and from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., at the Espace Molière. Admission is free.
